I am Jenifer Clausell Tormos, PhD, born and raised in Spain.
For a decade, I pushed the boundaries of medical innovation across Europe—France, UK, Spain, Denmark. I loved solving impossible problems.
But something kept nagging at me: the persistent lack of equity.
So in 2017, I founded Develop Diverse in Denmark—Scandinavia’s first diversity-tech company.
Success came at a brutal cost: complete burnout.
Physical breakdown: Allergies. Blurry mind. Constant anxiety. Couldn’t disconnect.
Professional challenges: Made fear-based decisions, Imposter syndrome skyrocketed. Became a less compassionate leader.
Burnout hit me – I had to leave the company I built from scratch.
As I recovered, one truth became crystal clear:
My burnout wasn’t a personal failure. It was a system failure.
The entrepreneurial ecosystem glorifies resilience—but equates it with suffering.
That’s not a badge of honor. It’s a design flaw.
So I asked myself:
“What if I could help other female founders avoid this trap? What if resilience wasn’t about enduring pain—but about building strategic bias-aware systems?”
I took everything I’d learned:
